ISG Song Bank
The Irish Songwriters Guild (ISG) was formed in 2012 by Sean Murray and Pete Ware with the idea of providing a platform for songwriters who write for the Irish market, with the intention of getting their music to a wider audience. The aim was to take songs which have proven popular in Ireland and introduce them to overseas markets.
The idea was that ISG would be a showcase for songwriters and the guild would actively try to place songs on upcoming albums. No contracts are involved other than a commitment to pay a small percentage of any royalties to the guild.
However the ISG concept took seed in Nashville and beyond. Today, ISG supports as many international as Irish members and feeds music both ways across the Atlantic. There are now over 1,500 songs in the ISG “song bank”. Pop over and have a listen now: http://www.irishsongwritersguild.com/
